The DECIDE Project: Disability Empowerment, Participation and Dialogue, led by Handicap International in partnership with the Collective for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Morocco), the Tunisian Organization for the Defense of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (OTDDPH), and the Algerian Consortium of Associations of Persons with Disabilities (Algeria), has a general objective: to improve the political and socio-economic inclusion of persons with disabilities in the MENA region by enabling them to actively participate in the design and implementation of policies and programs aimed at guaranteeing their fundamental rights.
A specific objective of the project is to facilitate dialogue between organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), civil society organizations (CSOs), and public authorities in order to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of inclusive public policies that promote the rights of persons with disabilities in the MENA region, particularly in North African countries.
